Irving Penn and Issey Miyake at 21 21 design

Like the building, but not convinced of it as a gallery, too dark, too many narrow corridors. The exhibition was about the collaboration between Miyake and Penn. The clothes and the photos of them, didn't do that much for me. Penn's close up photos of plants, made me want to get a macro lens and a kick ass flash.

Sant Pau - Spancy Fancy

It was raining "slud" and it was pretty windy too, but me and the Magnus went to Nihonbashi anyway for some really nice Spanish food. Here you can see one of the dishes, cheeses with their contrasts. And, also for the first time in my life, I tried foie gras, I managed to swallow it, but did not enjoy at all. I do not understand what the fuzz is about, nor do I want to find out. Foie gras, do we need it? NO!

The lighting wasn't the best for a non-flash photo, but he could have looked slightly more happy, it would have helped.

One of the desserts, - small alien head (the Spanish menu should have said something like "cabecita de extraterrestre", it didn't. )

Sante, Rocky & Mange in Shibuya

Only 2 of them made the photo.

Finding New Places in Shibuya

Craftshead, a bar/resturant with big selection of micro-brewery beer, was the destination, but on the way over there we stumbled across a super hip eyeglass store. Here Magnus explains the problem with his astigmatism problem.

Interior = super hip.

Then at Craftshead, very nice beer as staff.

Post-Cabaret Barfly and then some

After an cabaret at JzBrat in Shibuya, and  fun after show chatting with the artists, I decided to be do the adult thing (not coming along to Roppongi) and watch Barfly while someone else was coding.

Egg Benedict at Glorious Chain Cafe for brunch today.

Then went past the grocery store and picked up a little bit of spring.

A beer (Cider) in Akasaka

Only 8 min away with the "newly" discovered Chiyoda-line, so why not meet up with 2 of Tokyo's nicest gals after work on a Friday eve. 2 drinks, lots of talking, lots of laughing... yes and Diana tried Irish Cider for the first time.

Art District and the not so great wall

Yes, this is another wall... not sure if I can see the other brick in it.

Lots of things to see in the art district; and here I thought they had put all their artists in jail...

Inverted  Matryoshka?

Colourful and cute... sometimes all that is needed.

Concrete and steel wires...

Made me think of Copenhagen, creative, worn down, but super hip... and I bet it would have been super nice if it were 25C instead of  -5C and freakin' Mongolian winds....

Golden boomerang Pegasus?

You should, keep your dinosaurs caged up... several movies have shown us this...

Beijing Cutie Pie 2

It was windy, it was cold, it was new years, it was nice company (mizzy & the christersson's), it was sleeping until noon, it was brunching, it was a good few days in the northern capital.

Beijing Cutie Pie

Mr Max got happy when I showed up on New Year's eve. Got to see all his new Lego and other cool stuff.

The chocolate cake was good too; espresso and champagnes were not bad either. Veggie lasagna was main dish, good stuff.

I got in depth presentation of Titanic facts too - the whole audio visual thing, plus a paper model too.

And then when midnight was approaching, energy was no more...
