I Love Nishigoi!

Up Atago green hills, there is a temple that keep their pond water nice and crisp, and they have very pretty koi in nice bright colours. And, a not so colourful frog, but it was still cute.

Hanami While Walking Home

Started from Shinagawa and walked along meguroriver all the way to Nakameguro. I did not walk all the way since, towards the end - crazy much people. And, sakura season haven't even started I hear.

Osaki, it is really pretty along the river here now. Several restaurants with outdoor areas...
This used to be my house, almost 10 years ago.
In Gotanda, you're recommended to go off your bike before going down the stairs. Thank you.

It is all happening!

Or not completely, but early sakura already started and the trees down at Megurugawa is just about to burst into bloom. Too bad for all people suffering from 花粉症, but happy times for spring.

St Paddy Parade at Omotesando

Lu convinced me that we should go out for a few hours and celebrate together with the Irish. Lovely spring weather today too, I was not difficult to convince. No Guinness for us, but coffee and ladybug cake afterwards.

Pomodoro, Melanzane, Rosemary and Fusilli

It is Friday and to celebrate (and encourage spring), today's dinner in Kamiyamacho is decorated with purple little flowers of rosemary.  The rest is pretty basic, onion, aubergine, small tomatoes, a bit chopped tomato from a can, rosemary from the balcony +七味with  yuzu.  For you bean soup lovers out there, Shichimi works very well as togarashi/dried chili replacement.

And when the sun goes down...

Kiyosumi Garden

They not only have big koi fish, they also have lots of pretty stones, many different types of birds and a whole lot of boring turtles. Don't really want to slag them off too much, but they are only hanging about in the sun - zero action. Sometimes you could see them blink, sign of life - very exciting.

And as long as we are in a complaining mood, this park (along with many others) should really consider killing off some of that green algae to make the water clear and photos nicer.

Koi Close-up

Koi fish has the coolest lips, be careful not to fall in!

Takaosan Trip

Woke up early and the weather was (and still is) crazy nice, so I decided to go to Takaosan.
