Sunset

Before the Sunset

Horseback Riding

A little Waterfall

Kauai Day 1

Johan, our Kauai expert, had told us that the north side of the Island gets more rain than the south, and I believe him now. We had both rain and sun every day, as could be expected with one of the most rainy places on earth just up the hill (Mt Waialeale has up to 350 rainy days per year).

旧古河庭園

Woke up early due to jetlag, I guess. Got up, sorted out the laundry and bags from yesterday, and then at 7 went out for a walk and ended up in Kyufurukawateien near Sugamo.

Walking to Odaiba

At Shibaura side, before the elevator.

Just by the elevator, a nice sign warning that here is no bathroom until you reach the other side... always someone looking out for you in Japan.

Parts of the on-ramp to the bridge.

Yes you guessed it, parts of the bridge and parts of Odaiba.

More Odaiba.

More bridge and Odaiba.

Odaiba beach (no bridge).

The statue of liberty (and the bridge).

Gundam, I think he should change places with the statue of liberty.

The Ferris wheel and stuffs.

Another bridge.

OzzFest Sunday

We were kinda lazy (smart) and did not show up until around 2.30pm, and then it was basically time for Steel Panther. Or maybe we should have waited... think a mix of Mötley and Spinal tap, but without the subtlety / humour... of said bands. But, still got to give them... Asian Hooker - it is the first time I heard South Korea followed by gonorrhoea in a lyric. If you don't believe me... check the link.

Then we took a yakitako/potetofurai/sumirunofu aisu break...

Others took, other breaks... that said... if you should crash and burn hard rock style - at least he dressed the part.

And finally, after Tools fun light show, finally it was time for some Slack Babbath. Fun songs were played (like Fairies with Boots on...) but still want to highlight this... and Tokyo Metro's campaign  "please do it at home" could work for this too... we don't need several minutes of drum solo, we never had, we never will. But could be that the rest of the band needed a break, who can blame them? If I have the strength to jump up and down like Ozzy in 30 years, I'll be happy.

Yes joined only the second day, missed Slash the day before, a bit sad about that.... missed Slipknot too, a bit happy about that.
