最高 in Malmö

It was Friday eve and I was more than pretty tried, but the visit to Saiko was very nice. The chanterelles were probably the best... or ... wait.. edamame is always edamame. Yes, and there was a mayo-ebi sushi that was pretty nice (made me think of konbini onigiri... but I like that :)). Also, service... yes they actually try at Saiko. 

On the minus side, 

- No Japanese beer, what is that about? 

- They expect you to take off your shoes, but you cannot go to the shoe shelf without walking with your bare socks on the same floor where you just stepped with your shoes. 

- Acidity, tsukemono is lovely but when serving a set meal there should be a balance between all the tastes. If one dish is very acidosis, the next one needs to bring you back a more neutral state. And

- Not sure if spicey kimechi, delicious as it may be, is the best way to start of a meal if you want people to feel all the delicate elements of the following dishes.

Instead of Friday Afternoon at the Office

It was too sunny and nice to be indoors, and I was mostly disturbing other people anyway, and Aron and my parents had planned an outing to Helsingör... I joined, and then came a long to my parents place. 

Yet Another Sunset

If you're tried of sunset photos, or photos of people accidentally falling into the ocean, or you are starting to get jealous that I yet again got to spend the evening down by the water with a glass of wine and lovely company - if so...  don't look at this post.

Someone taking out the rubber dinghy for a little spin... makes me think of Karl Pilkington and his uncle Alf...  

Yes, we all know where that will end... 

At least one of his mates made a half hearted attempt to pull him up...

I'm almost considering getting that flight monitoring app my dad has; air traffic was very frequent.

And then the sun had set, but it still was quite warm and lots of people enjoyed a few more minutes of summer evening.

So You Think You Can Commute?

It might seem like a trivial task using public transportation to and from your place of work. However, it has become all to clear to me that many of you out there haven't even got the basics down. In short - show your fellow commuters some respect, god damn it!

Smoking at the bus stop
Yes, that is really nice of you - NOT.

Commuter pass in your hand
When you enter the buss or (or ticket gates) have your commuter pass in your hand. Don't stop the whole line by start digging around after it in your bag.

Don't stand just in front of the train doors
What's wrong with you? Line up on the sides like any other  human being (How dare you? How dare you? How dare you call me inhuman?). They got to get out, for you to get in. The process will not go any quicker by you blocking them.

Don't listen to music on the train if you have crappy headphones that leak sound

It is not difficult, other people than you exists and there is a pretty good chance they don't want to listen to your treble intense noise. On a similar topic, in case you wondered if it is okay to watch youtube on your phone without any headphones at all connected while riding the bus or train - it is not okay. So now that's settled.

Please set your phone to silent mode and refrain from talking on the phone

We don't need to hear your private conversations. And, don't even get me started on those sandwich-talkers, that is just wrong. Sandwich-talkers - buy yourself a freaking headset with a microphone! And yes, it is even worse if you talk using speaker phone. Even you should know that.

Backpack
I will let you guess this one. Do you think it is okay to keep them on your back in a crowed train or bus, bumping into people around you and taking up more space than needed? (If you commute in and around Lund, Sweden - what is up with the over-usage of Fjällräven backpacks? I mean, they are good backpacks, but why does EVERY person need to have one? A Fjällräven on your back in a crowded bus, you can guess how okay that is, right?)

Don't put your feet up on the seats
How old are you? 12?

Escalators

• Stand on one side, walk on the other
• Form two lines one for each side

Two simple things that make it easier to move people from the platforms to where ever they are going. If you're too stupid to understand these simple instructions - just use the lift instead, or even better stay home (I'm not sure you will manage to push the buttons in the lift anyway).

Revolving Doors
If you have those at the office, learn how to walk through them. Yes, if they are big more than one person can use them at the same time. No, you don't have to stop just in front of them totally oblivious that there might be people behind you.
