Today I had the great opportunity to go to Ikebana class with 2 of the girls from the office. It was so much fun and the teacher was very nice. I learned many new Japanese words and got to taste home made Japanese food.
This is Miho's arrangement.
Same, but different angle, that displays a little bit more of the colours. The pretty yellow bubbles are called fox face.
And one more.
Self-portrait.
Aki-chan taking photos of her arrangment.
My arrangement, the long branches are in need of some water.
Akiko's arrangement and Sensei.
Miho is taking notes after the training.
I have done some free-styling already at the class. Unauthorised flower arranging; I had to see if I broke any ikebana-taboos. I later found out that you more or less where allowed to do what you wanted, as long as you kept flowers that needed water in the water and did not put them out side the water base.
Miho is probably a very good wife, she helped serve the food.
I do not like the little fishes that keep looking at you while you eat, but other than that it was tasty.
We got a tour of the sea side too, when the teacher's husband, also called Ojisan, drove us back to the station.
And then after I got home, I did some freestylin'...
I know that the flowers are not to be placed at the far corner of the suiban, but I do not care. I like the pattern of my Berså plate, and what you to be able to see it.
