Russell on Love

Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.

Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps the most fatal to true happiness.

Bertrand Russell have said quite a few things worthy of a second thought.

2007 in short - End of year summary

Got the inspiration from Norra Fäladens Golfklubb, to make an end of the year summary of 2007. So I will try to summarise the year in 15-20 events. A rather difficult task, since the this year has been a rather eventful one, bringing laughter, tears, heartache and love.

January, brought me a baby-sister half way to be come a PhD in Neuroscience and a surprise visit from a boy that I make unnaturally good friends with. First time seeing him in over a year, he should be in Tokyo, but at 3 pm he was standing beside my desk at work. A day that still makes me smile.

3 boys that gets along great together.

February, brought hole to my ears and a new found photoshop interest, that have lasted all year.

March, brought me tears, a hole in my heart that will never heal completely and a new perspective on life. A little girl with a giant heart drowned. Had not known her for that long, and can only start to imagine what this loss meant to other friends and family. A girl to celebrate and laugh with, but also a girl that was there when you were at your lowest, doing what ever she could to get you through the day. Forever in my heart, Charlotte Rosza. March also brought my other girls closer to me Lisa, Lillie, Linnea and Anna C.

April, brought me a new co-worker that are super sweet (Anna A), a new work assignment down at FG UI Platfrom, Nettle soup and to my Granny's 85 year's birthday party.

You can never have too many bags or Annas. New work assignment brought me a friend too. She makes work a lot more fun to go to every morning.

Me and Lillie made nettle soup from scratch. Very tasty indeed.

Granny celebrated.

May, brought me to a funeral, brought a new PhD friend, dear Katie should now be called Dr Katie Jakubs. I was even mentioned in the doctoral thesis, I was very proud. And one sunny day Annika brought me along riding. Lots of fun it was.

June, brought me to the gym with Gunnar, and to tactel's summer party. Lots of dancing with lovely lisa.

July, brought me a boy friend and a trip with him to a Scottish Castle. Had a lovely time, makes me think of that Björn Afzelius song "En gång var jag lycklig i scotland..." :). July aslo brought ink under my skin, for good and bad. And towards greater heights, when I was allowed to come with to Lisa's climbing club.

August, brought sister and Magnus closer do to a new little member of her family. Melvin the Menace. A crayfish party for Paul and a trip to the north. Oh dear they have slow internet connections there, but the company and nature was stunning.

September, brought me to dinner with Jessica, Srdan and eventually also Paul. September also brought me some wheels, and a pretend family (borrowed baby and borrowed man, looks kinda convincing though... the beer does the trick).

October, made me turn 30 and to see my first F1 final ever. Finland was happy.

November, brought me to a 70s party that went slightly out of hand. I like! Linnea turned 30, good for her! I had a birthday date with GG, a nice food, excellent service and tasty tasty drinks. And we (Lillie, Linnea and I) went visiting a friend.

December, brought me training with work, good good food. To a Mary Kay party, Christmas dinner with the office, Katie's going away party in a student pub in Copenhagen, Linus go me hooked on House, and then there was christmas. And as everyone knows the hottest thing right now knitting! All the cool people are doing it.

Knitting with Diezel and Jonna

A stolen photo again, soon Anti-pirate byrån, will hunt me down. At least this one is a photo of me, and the scarf to be and the beginning of a very bright red bag that Jonna is making. And also my f@*%-ing phone as entered a period of Paint it black. Darkness prevails.

Opening Christmas Gifts

Granny seems even more curious than I am, opening my gift. I look rather sceptic to tell the truth.

If you look closely you can see that I'm actually knitting, while opening the gifts. Therapy says Kontrazt.

Worse than Today (Christmas day)

"Sämre än Jula-da", is a popular expression, at least in some parts of Skåne. Well, some villages... or wait some houses in some villages... let's just call it what it is... I have never heard anyone except my Granny and my Mum using this expression, yes and baby sister. It is a very useful one, so please use it, and especially today since there is a special form available today.... Sämre än idag!

And since we are talking about expressions that ought to be used more I will give you a few more,

"Se på fan när han borstar sin gris" = something to say when you're surprised, or when you happen to catch the devil cleaning his pig and you want to call someone's attention to this activity.

"I röven på sme'ns katt" = Hell no! You can just forget about it!

"Glo dig mellan benen tills du blir go igen" = When somebody gets upset, and you don't really care about it... the strange thing is why will one get happy again by looking between one's leg? But yoga makes me happy, so it is probably not that far fetched.

Benedictus - the blessed

Midnight mass. Too cool to be true! I want to be pope....

Help with the kitchen and all screws, nails and other supplies. My dad is super! And then my mum will help to clean afterwards.
