New Image Campaign

My image manager (I will try to get him to change his title to "Minister of propaganda and mind-control") is currently performing usability test on preliminary campaign material in Lund. "Emma is nice and calm" - counter action to rumours about Emma being wild and crazy.

The man in the photo is not the Minister of propaganda and mind-control, Mel Gibson or George Cloney, but an innocent guinea pig that was not completely convinced by this particular method of persuasion.

Aoyama Cemetery and Christo at Midtown

Woke up at nine, and after a slow start decided to take a walk to Roppongi. Roppongi is strangely cozy during daylight. Went to 21 21 design sight at midtown, to have a look at the Christo exhibition that they currently have. Never seen the building before... lots of concrete, made me feel right at home.

Two things really cough my attention the quoting about one of the pieces "The Mastaba, a work of art whose only purpose is to be itself"; just being oneself and nothing else, so easy, yet completely impossible. The other thing was what Christo's wife wrote about her becoming and artist, Christo decided at the age of 5 to become an artist, she became an artist after meeting him, out of love for him, "If he had been a dentist, I would have become a dentist".

I walked across Aoyama cemetery on my way over there. The ume (plum) flowers have started now. So pretty.

And as all can see, the weather is brilliant today. Life is good!

Politeness

22.03 went to am/pm to get some chocolate... Japanese boy/man held the door open for me.. I was surprised, smiled, bowed, felt special... and just a tad bit guilty... like someone in Sweden would have bought me a drink... is there expectations? The door seem so simple, especially in a super polite, let's do everything we can not to disrupt the harmony, type of society.. but let me tell you .. Japanese people haven't got a clue, have no cultural training in this area... why? well, my best guess is , that one generation ago.. doors did not slam shut in their faces... they had to be slided sideways... rice paper doors, slided sideways... and there was no point making a statement... except for the fact that women were to kneel down, slide it open, tip toe in, kneel down, slide it close, before entering the room... but really, any other way of entering the room would be barbaric...
