In short

Just nu är de vackraste ord som finns "hjärtslag", "andetag" och, så klart, "hjärnaktivitet"!

Tack Lillie, du lyckades verkligen fånga stunden.

Girlie

I think this needs a posting of it’s own. There has been some whining about stereotypical gender roles when it comes to the ice-cream I can be seen eating a few posts prior to this one. See p_pipkorn’s link in his comment to said post : http://www.gp.se/gp/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=361&a=334250

The Girlie ice-cream is a brilliant idea!
1) It tastes great. Raspberries is gooood.
2) It looks good and has a somewhat new thinking shape, for being an ice cream.
3) It is very suitable for people with a girly-project. Makes it easy for us to recognize this as something that fits our demands.
4) There is glitter in the stick. Glitter that you can sprinkle all over yourself in the sunshine. Reclaim Glam-Rock! And that is not just for girls, please see Velvet Goldmine; Mr McGregor naked, sprinkling glitter all over himself. Sweet stuff I tell you.
5) It is fun that people are provoked by something like an ice-cream and that it could be used as an object that starts a perhaps more important discussion about what gender is and how gender roles are constructed? what is good with them? what is bad with them? is there unfairness due to them? should we really strive to erase them and become completely equal? could we encourage both boys and girls to explore both female and male roles?

Bean soup / crisis group

Today was supposed to be Charlotte’s introduction to the bean soup, and also Christine’s introduction to the “girls”. We managed to do one out of two. I’m truly blessed with loving, fun, intelligent and caring friends. And I’m looking forward to the day when I’m not one short anymore. Must try and remember all the gossip so I can update her what has happened while she was asleep.

In the middle of all this, some of us yet again got provoked into doing push-ups and climbing the door frames. Please see TABs blog for photo.

Charlotte on my mind

Life can change so drastically from one day to the other. We all know that but, still we don't. Tell the people you love that you love them; enjoy the sun on your face; make someone smile; stop waiting and start living. Mainly advice to myself, but feel free to do the same.

Trying to find words, say something that could make a difference. Asking the question that has no answer, but still asking it. Why? Realizing it doesn't matter. That it wont make any difference. What will happen now? How bad is it? What does still critical really mean? Do I really understand what have happened? I know I need more help with the bedspread I’m making, so you have to get well soon.

...and all I can really think is little, little Charlotte.

Aron

Stretching out on the sofa.

Good Saturday

Today was one of my better days in a long time. I woke up around half 7 after a 9.5 hours sleep. The sun was shinning outside and the weekend had just started. I got out of bed, did 30 min of yoga and had a nice shower. Got dressed, unnecessarily good looking (please see Linnea’s blog for photo). Relaxed on the sofa, reading a book and cuddling with the cats until Linnea called.

Emma and Linnea

We are waiting outside in the sun shine. Hälsans Hus had an "open house" day and you could try out some of their activities at a reduced cost.

Hawaii-ian massage

The reflexology lady had left for the day when me and Linnea showed up, so I had to try something else. Body and soul united, yes it sounded a bit new agey. However, the massage felt nice and you were supposed to be completely nude. I think I would like to try something that applies a bit more pressure, like shiatsu massage.

Sushi in Lundagård

Linnea insisted on trying the ikizukuri sushi aka röv-sushi. It wasn't that good, a bit slimy, but now she knows. They had this super deal, due to some anniversary, so we only paid 45 SEK. The weather was nice and warm, but really windy. We spotted several couples hand in hand walking in the sun. "That will never last", said Linnea. She's very supportive when it comes to dissing couples, even if she has a boyfriend. We don't like PDA unless we are involved.

Soup for Sofie

After walking Linnea to the bus, I went up to Sara's place to celebrate the soon to be 26 year old. Norra Fäladen is up the hill, and against the wind today. I was sweating like a maniac when arriving there. We were served bean soup and cheese cake. And there were lots of German people.

Good looking Cat

Viggen being all cute as usual. He really doesn't like being carried around. I do my best to train him every time I'm over there, but so far no progress. He still screams like he is being pinched.

It is the same old stroy

And like most parties, Joding falls asleep.

This was my whole day in short. Now it is almost time to go to bed.

Dragan the breakfast man

Every Wednesday morning my team has breakfast together at the office. Today, it took the price, he was outstanding. Dragan served scones (still hot), freschly pressed orange juice and eggs. It will be impossible to top that. Henrik is up next week, gambatte, I say.

Tres Chic!

This is just too good to be true. Tried on a black one this Saturday and fell in love. Today I bought both a black and a red beret. I'm so colour coordinated that it is almost ridiculous. I must say that my Girly-Project is a success.

Hail storm

I made it home just in time. :)

CeBit 2007 in Hannover

This is the true story of how a bus full of engineers from Sony Ericsson in Lund managed to get from Lund to Hannover and back again in 38 hours.

Captain's Buffee

We had dinner on the ferry (TT-line from Trelleborg to Travemunde) and did some serious trucker spotting. At least two mullets, T-shirts with Motorhead on, indians on, lions on, there were leather wests, the important trucker-belly and a fondness for bacon. I should have asked to have my photo taken with one of them, preferably outside a lorry. The girls in the photo are not truckers they are Jayne and Karolina (sometimes refered to as Oscar's Karolina).

Peter and Planksteksdrink

When you walk in to a room you can feel that people are looking at you, and the three of us (Jayne, Karolina and I) sure did feel that we were being looked up and down, when walking in to the very posh lounge after dinner. Either trucker's have a fondness for girls as well as bacon or/and it has something to do with ferries with 80s style interior design that make people want to look at something else more closely, but I'm not really used to have people checking me out that way. And it should be added, I'm well worth the time and effort to look at a bit extra. (The boy in the photo is not a trucker, it is the legendary Peter 3 Nilsson)

The Room

We had a lovely view. Strangly that light house was outside our window all the way to germany. Two sofas that could be turned into beds and we were vibrated to sleep. I might also have been slightly intoxicated. We slept well but Jayne was attacked by the shower in the moring (wakeup call was at 6 am), I heard several random screems when she was in there. (The Light house in the photo is not a trucker, it is a reprint of an ill-chosen original.

The Sony Ericsson Exhibition Area

We had one of the better booths. Lots of people, most give-aways and a DJ. In conclusion, the SEMC exhibition area had the feeling of a beach party, while Samsung's felt like a jewellery store (Korean crap jewellery store that is). (The sign in the photo saying "I (SEMC) Rythm" is not a Trucker it is part of an advertising campaign)

Germanic Cousine

I wanted to show the host country support and respect and therefore had sauerkraut for lunch, served with mashed potatos and kohlrullanden (or whatever they were called). (The food in the photo is not a Trucker, it is something that truckers probably would like to eat, given that it had contained meat, which it didn't.)

Highlight of the Trade Fair

There were a lot of crap at the fair, lot of uninteresting chinese sheit, badly displayed and communicated businesses, but it was well worth the trip. Just look at the absolutely lovely carpet in the enterence hall. And it was big too probably 3x20 meters. We walked around at the fair for 5 hours and were pretty exhausted when returning to the bus parking lot. Some people had got lost and we had to await their return. (The carpet in the photo is not a Trucker, it is a kick-ass patterned carpet.)

Entertainment in the Lounge

After another Captain's buffee (with free wine and beer) we went to the hottest spot on the ferry. The place to be. The hang-out spot for the rich and famous. Basically, the only place that you could be if you didnt want to sit in your tiny cabin. The entertainment was scary, pre-recorded music and a man doing his best to destroy every tune he played. It was as plankstek as it gets. In the end he even did requests, I'm no longer sure why we encouraged him to sing, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. Max talked about the joys of parenthood, I was asked to dance (and did dance too), one boy bought me a beer, someone touched my leg and another told me several times that he had gotten one of the singel cabins for the night. Yes, and I believe someone has a photo of my toungue with a plastic drink sword pushed through it. (The man in the Photo could very well be a trucker, just trying to earn some extra cash on the ferry trip)

I'm now at home, updating my blog and thinking of getting in a few more hours of sleep so I can celebrate St Patrick's day in style tonight. Need to go out on town too and get some shopping done. Need to find something green, don't want to get pinched tonight... or wait... if I come a cross a cute boy he'll be more than welcome to pinch me.

Flowers by The Thai-vagnen

Spring is in the air and on the ground. It is nice, but the downside is that people will be walking hand-in-hand, being all in love. That I don't like. And yes I am bitter about that...

Another Prius Day

Everyone wants a Prius! Today I got to press, the power button to start the little wonder. No keys needed. I'm in love.

Fried Prawns

Were at former Blue Dimond for dinner with David. It is a scary place. I wonder how they can afford that location? Btw if anyone feel like steeling the old Blue Dimond neon sign (still present behind the new sign, and accessable from the inside) I might know someone that would be interested in parts of this neon wonder.

King Mint

And the ring of Linnea.
