Girlie

I think this needs a posting of it’s own. There has been some whining about stereotypical gender roles when it comes to the ice-cream I can be seen eating a few posts prior to this one. See p_pipkorn’s link in his comment to said post : http://www.gp.se/gp/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=361&a=334250

The Girlie ice-cream is a brilliant idea!
1) It tastes great. Raspberries is gooood.
2) It looks good and has a somewhat new thinking shape, for being an ice cream.
3) It is very suitable for people with a girly-project. Makes it easy for us to recognize this as something that fits our demands.
4) There is glitter in the stick. Glitter that you can sprinkle all over yourself in the sunshine. Reclaim Glam-Rock! And that is not just for girls, please see Velvet Goldmine; Mr McGregor naked, sprinkling glitter all over himself. Sweet stuff I tell you.
5) It is fun that people are provoked by something like an ice-cream and that it could be used as an object that starts a perhaps more important discussion about what gender is and how gender roles are constructed? what is good with them? what is bad with them? is there unfairness due to them? should we really strive to erase them and become completely equal? could we encourage both boys and girls to explore both female and male roles?
