The Silence of the Cikadas

Why do you want to buy them? Little and noisy... and all over the place... the only reason I would like to get one is to kill it... as an example for other Semis....

Some Points

Nice dinner at a place called Lime yesterday evening, followed by a stop at Agave.

- I should stop telling people that I hate Roppongi, that is not a good place to go out partying. I always have fun there, Roppongi likes Emma.

- Being an attention whore is a talent to be proud of, not a character flaw.

- Apple wireless mouse and key board are the best ever... the best at eating batteries, loosing connection and irritating me. Now they are gone, little idiots... replaced by the good old stuff. Guess it is good to live 10 min walk form an Apple Store.

- People working at Gap are service minded and nice. Shop there in stead of H&M; they should be punished for their lack of service mindness.

Walnut Baby

So, along time ago, possibly 15 years ago or more, my dad had this friend. He had been to Ukraine an brought back walnuts. He gave us them to eat; I planted the ones I got. Fighting of ants, (i hate them stupid little idiots leave my babies pots alone! stop terrorising their root systems!) after all that, I convince my dad that 2 of the plants were strong enough and had good enough chance to stand the south Swedish winters, the melting, the freezing and the winds. And he let me, put them down into the soil, let them be a part of their garden... with the... okay, until you get a garden of your own.... (as of now, I'm still wondering if it is possible to export baby trees to other parts of Europe...possibly even further if needed.

Anyways, my baby have grown up! and despite of my worries about the need of cross pollination, my baby tree have produced another potential baby.

First, my plan was to eat this, possible with a high quality fig, and some dark dark chocolate, but now... all I want to do, is to see if this baby can grow up to become a tree of its own.

- Det är så att jag handlar för ett helt år. Både hygien, kläder till fyra-fem familjemedlemmar kvar hemma, städ... Jag handlar allt. I fjol hade jag tre bilar hem för att komma hem med alla de varorna.

30000 steps - 24km - 4 hours

First I saw a black house that had to be my house's evil twin, and then I saw this house; the missing link between my white house and the black house.

Walking along Tamagawa, dirt road, felt almost like being back at home in Kattarp... or on E30 heading toward Warszawa (according to some sources)

Strange Light

Just before it got dark today, the whole sky was glowing. I have been really lazy today, only went out to go to buy a small sallad at am/pm. Now maybe movie.

Berries

White, black and red currant, from my parents graden. I just moved photos from the camera to the computer; a few nice ones from this summer in Sweden.

Summer in Tokyo

Another Week

Okay, so Friday evening... I have had worse...made it home just in time to strike the 3'o clock bell. Franklin Ave. and then walk to Meguro... exercise and soul food, all in all very happy with today... :) Now it is official, only 5 more working days, before OKINAWA... or what will be known as the OKINAWA INCIDENT in Japanese history books...

Long Time Ago

The Bonsai cat and Mint, my main man Mint. Aron was 4 month old but smallest in the Universe, but he liked to cuddle from the start. Cuddling rules!

And for those who like interior design more than cats, that was a very good kitchen indeed; one day, I tell you, one day... I shall have a kitchen like that again :) Not that the one in Sweden that I (read Daniel) have now, is bad... but I kind of have to agree with Kinga, the current one in Tokyo is pretty much comparable to cooking at a Tranga kitchen outside.

Extended Commuter Pass

It is a good way to notice that another year have passed, having to extend your commuter pass with  5+1 (okay so what is up with the loss of function of my keyboard, now I cannot write six anymore, started of with capital Y, done with left shift, now this... they are pretty close to each other, but still weirdness... Wonder if F5 works... next in line). Anyways, been here a year now (2,5 in total), have another year left of the contract. Do I want to stay even longer? Well, depends... just need to figure out exactly what it depends on... and if that is not possible to bring here :)

What else is new, thought the town smelled like either fish or Slime today, or it is just my senses that have gone weird? I feel a bit unusual... and someone has definitely been at the thermostat, it is dripping hot here...

Drifting into the Pretentious

Perfectly natural nails, save the light purple nail polish. Now shower time. Happy I do not have a thermometer, since I think it is close to a million degrees in my flat.

Supplementary Income

The Shibuya Ward is happy that I'm living here, and gives me 12000yen (approx. 1000 SEK), or this is what I tell myself, it might have something to do with the Japanese government that is doing CPR on the economy.

So, how to spend this money?

One Currency Shall Rule Them All

Welcome to Tomigaya Money Exchange Center. If you look closely, 2 things (not counting the carpet) could be used here in Tokyo; 5000 yen (buys you almost one bottle of planksteks-Champagne Moet) and one of the coins is exchangeable for an extremely sloppy made drink at Lexington in Roppongi, if you just manage to get past all the long-legged Russian models and up to the bar.

Stolen Photos

His new flash and photo stuff works perfectly...

The Tower of Tokyo

Had dinner at a Vietnamese place in Ginza together with Martin and Yuki-chan. Spicy and nice food (although the waiter seemed to think chicken is vegetarian...). Walking home Ginza-Shinbashi-TokyoTower-Asabujuban-Shirogane-Meguro, then train to shibi; hot, humid and a lovely way to spend a Friday evening.

Always Bring the Weather With You

I have had 2 weeks of sun and blue skys in Sweden... And look what happens the day after I left. Before going I told people that I had ordered 2 weeks of splendid summer weather while I was back home, and I got just that. The big question is from whom did I order, and how exactly did I place the order; good things to sort out for future trips.

Dragör

Salmon with cous-cous and potatoes,  and half a bottle of white wine and a Tom, after a day of splendid weather on board a boat playing with the waves.... not sure that it gets any better than this...

Abandoned by my captain

This is what happen, delayed trains, not having a clue where you are at; but at least 12 hours to next appointment... Might make it...

I'm in love

I'm happy, one of the best summer evenings in my life:). Next summer i will nag until they let me come along...

They should never put the lid in their mouth. But I guess it is okay for me to do it.
