Love Hotels and Mini bike

Martin and I, checking out one love hotel entrance. I wonder if one is allowed to take photos there, because the neon light is super cool. I want to bring my real camera.

Zoidberg babies?

Taking it slow, upside down, on a self-made futon sofa at Martin's place. Also, I have to give him that his red wine was better than the white I selected based on label design.

Look what I bought! Did not find a Jaguar so I had to settle for a Mini instead, but it is green and lovely.

Dinner with my Department

Today was dinner with APV employees, all 8 of us. We are mostly subcontractors and they were not invited today.

If edamame is beers bestfriend, soramame could be come my new friend. Tastes a bit like almond dipped in very sweet chocolate.

Umibudo - Sea grapes. First time for me but it makes a fun sound when you eat it, so I will try again. I was taught that they grow down at Okinawa.

My manager Toshi is making his serious face. And he also tried to get me to like tomato alcohol. It was clear and transparent, but it smell like a tomato plant and tasted like I imagine a tomato plant taste and well... was not so strong, but sent shivers down your spine and not in a good way. But I guess, if you want to have a quirky speciality, becoming a tomato based alcohol connoisseur, could definitely be an option for you.

Had a very good time, nice to try some new dishes that I would never think of to try on my own.

Picking up the Party

Once again, just look at my flat, the red, the shadow, the concrete; simply breath taking. I wonder if I'm on the verge of losing it, or if it actually is as pretty as I think it is. When you come visit, feel my walls, and you will understand.

Today at the office, I had fun, fun, fun. For the first time in a very long time, I had to think, and think fast. I like that a lot. If the party isn't picking up, you'll have to do your best to pick up the party!

Pip pip!

After late breakfast, we went to Tokyu Hands, and I'm now proud owner of a hammer and a tape measure, and Martin likes yellow birds (and also bought lamps).

Unleashed in Roppongi

Absolute Ice Bar; cold but you got warmed up by the vodka drinks and shots. Yes, we did test lick the walls without getting stuck (or thrown out of the bar).

Herr Ober, ice bitte!

And then the photos in my phone got darker and darker, and I guess it is a good thing that the rest of the night is not that well documented... but I made it home, fully dressed and with all my belongings, not counting a few yens.

Pretty Boys

Look what happened today, I sat down on the ground beside Boss, and he climbed in my lap and laid down.

Pretty roof top garden below Martin's balcony.

Big city view.

After shopping lunch/dinner with Martin.

How much is that? 1000 yen or? No, actually a bargain 800yen for this cute little red maple.

Complexity

Indian food in Roppongi, Dark Knight (batman) at premier theatre with champage, followed by Champagne bar in Daikanyama and a 30 min walk home through Shibuya.... and someone next to me were offered a massage when I walked past (got to love that love hotel area).

Victory is Mine

...and it is sweet. I shall search under the cushions, I shall search on the landing of my bridge, I shall search in the bathroom and in the cabins, I shall search in the washing machine; I shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this USB cord or a large part of it were gone missing and difficult to find, then my Empire beyond this flat, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the USB cord... or something like that.

Anyways, here are some photos from the semi-furnished flat. I still need to sort out the clothes and hang my photos on my lovely lovely concrete walls.

My flat, in the middle of my street, my flat...

Stupid USB Cord

Once again it has gone missing. What is it with me and that cord? Why does it dislike me and keep eloping. Next time I'm in AkiH I will buy 5... you see stupid little USB cord you are not irreplaceable if that's what you think!

Jesus - Back In My Life Again

Okay, I must say it feels a little bit like Christmas, and not only because of Jesus, but because I'm unwrapping all my stuff now. I will probably over do it for a few days now... but hey.. turn the street into a catwalk.. hmm maybe I should take a few days off from work until I have calmed down a bit, not to scare them too much?

Unpacking My Things

Miss My Girly Gang

Tuesday dinner without me, but a greeting over the blog is good too. And I'm looking forward to the full report, minutes of meeting, from the dinner; but not as much as I'm looking forward seeing most of you in a few weeks. (I'm still convinced that my biz trip will be cancelled for some peculiar reason, only because I miss you sooo much)

Oyasuminasai

This is how happy I look when I'm finally allowed to sleep, and this is hopefully my last evening on futon, since my furniture are said to arrive tomorrow. But one should not shout hello before the bed is in the bedroom, or sell the sofa before the bear is ... well that one did not work out at all did it?

...but it looks like tofu

My baby after close encounter with a cake, kindly sent to me by his temporary daddy.

Lighting Up My Evening

Walking home through Shibuya makes me happy, neon lights reflecting in my face, tropic summer evening.

Odaiba Sunday

Some Sundays are more Sunday that other. Woke up at 9 but decided to do my best to sleep as much as possible, since I've been really tired lately. It kinda helped that it was not too light in my bedroom since the rain kept pouring down outside. Waking up again, after lots of strange dreams, at 3 pm I started arguing with myself if I should just stay in bed, maybe do some reading or just try to sleep a bit longer, but the part of me that wanted to do get up from the futon won and I was off towards Odaiba. Shibuya-(yamanotesen)-Osaki-(rinkaisen)-Tokyo Teleport.

The Rainbow Bridge and Statue of Liberty in rain. It is nice though with the rain. 24 C (11 degrees less than yesterday) makes it possible to be outside without melting, still very humid though.

He sits by my door now, have not named my maneki neko yet, but will come up with something. (ceramic about 30cm high, 3600yen).

I also bought gifts for Aron and Mint from the weird cat shop / cat petting place at Odaiba. I hope they will like them. And I found a pair of shorts on summer sale 1000 yen for myself in another store.

And this was my dinner, Kinokuniya sushi and japanese ice tea.

Two girls one bathroom

This is my home town

Lost in translation karaoke...on my way home from work... kinda cool...

There is something special with above 30 C temperature and rain, almost like it is raining from the hot water tap, and the ground seem to be almost steaming.

What to do with today?

So I have decided that I should relax and land this weekend, but somehow that feels like a waste of time. I no it really isn't but still feels like it. Was out doing some shopping; onigri and a peach and a Doutor take-away coffee, and I call it a breakfast. It is really too hot to be outdoors when the sun is up. Might bring the camera for a walk when evening comes and the mercury will crawl down just below 30C.

For now, some reading I think... and then let's see.

R&R in Tokyo

Blink, blink! Cute blue eyed cats I found on my way to the station.

And R&R would be good, maybe I should watch M.A.S.H again.

Not a day too soon

Look how pretty my kitchen is, and also the rest of the flat.

Today I decided to terminate the science project that have been taking place in my kitchen for the last week or so. I was a success, and temperatures between 25-30C seem good if you want to turn soup left overs into a green, hairy, slimey mess.
