Sunset Photos

We just made it to Lands End before the sun set, so here comes the mandatory sunset photo.

At the Aquarium

At usual, the jelly-fish are the coolest.

X-mas Eve part 1

Went to IKEA to check if they had any xmas food. They had some, but Whole Food market around the corner almost had a better selection. But weather is nice, and we got some julmust too.

Dinner - but not mine...

Mine look basically the same, but with out the ham. Added too much hot habnero sauce, writing this with a dripping nose. Other than that, all good.

Christmas Preparations

Went to the whole food market to get ingredients. It took a while since I first had to translate the recipe from metric. If you look closely at the sugar package you can see it is "100% Pure Cane - contains NO BEET sugar". I wonder what is so bad with sugar beet sugar...

And here is the end result. It looks good, but it is yet to be tasted. The saffron did not really behave the way I hoped, so they did not get that yellow.

Evening Walk and some Japanese Town before

Not overly impressed with Japanese Town, felt a bit like a tiny boring Sugamo or like the old shopping arcade behind Asakusa.

And then after dinner we walked up some steep hills and took the mandatory photo of another steep hill. Afterwards we took the cable car for a few stops. No photos from there since I was focused on holding on and not falling off.

Yes, and this was dinner - really spicy veggie burger.

Lands End and some Walking

Took bus 1 to Geary and 32nd, and then walked the rest of the way to Lands End. Should have brought the real camera and the long lens, but would probably not carried it with anyway. But there are birds out there on the cliffs.

It was a little bit windy, but otherwise really nice.

Isn't it the Golden Gate Bridge there between the trees? Yes, it is.

And around the corner from the park is an area where the houses actually looked nice and clean.

And a photo from Magnus' living room. Where I'm now having salad and doing some afternoon relaxing.

Review Bus no 1 : Almost only Chinese people on the bus, 2 of them cut their nails on the bus (one in each direction). A hispanic looking guy maybe around 30 knitting a light blue cardigan. A lady drawing on a post card with oil crayon. Bus stopping on almost every street corner. No STOP buttons to press, but instead the good old classic string hanging above the windows that you should pull. And it is not only bad manner to not offer your seat to elderly/disable person, it is against federal law.

Within Minutes

Yes, if you haven't got used to it yet, do... I'm pretty sure there will be more clouds in a not so far future...

2 x 2 Nights in Tokyo

Had a short, and quickly planned biz trip to Tokyo. Full days spent at the office, leaving only night time for socialising. Bon Jovi sang - Sleep while I'm dead... adapted a bit to - sleep while I'm in Sweden, and  I could meet up with a few of my friends.

People has asked me before "is it okay to be back in Sweden?" I have tried to be positive and a good sport, and actually convinced myself that it was kind of okay.... this was until Wednesday lunch when I stepped out of NEX at Shinagawa station and felt - HOME. (I'm sure, this too shall pass, but still I have to admit, I have been telling sweet little lies.. ).

松鶴 at first floor SONY HQ.. I was hoping for カキフライbut had to settle for 天茶。But, was not disappointed, this is what lunch should look like!

Then the team invited us out for dinner and drinks at nearby izakaya - oshikatta!

I know, some people say you shouldn't make fun of language mistakes, but .. "Suddenly, the door opens." sounds a bit too much like the first sentence in a short story... or something that Indian guy tells his friend after the encounter with ... yes we all know who.

A very nice Friday eve, with a little visit to Roppongi... and yes I had the good Tequila at Agave.

Saturday Lunch at Pure Cafe in Aoyama, very nice veggie food.

There are still some yellow ginko leaves around my old place. Had fika with the Hjort's (not sure why they did not get caught on camera...)

A week late, but finally I got to share b-day dinner with my woman in Tokyo :) Happy belated b-day, Itoko-chan! And how, I have been missing proper food and restaurants...

Not the best view in the world, but there sure is something pretty with a sunrise, and then it was time to go back to Sweden.
