Looks like we're in for stormy weather

I woke up this morning to the sound of the storm and the though ‘should I have secured my balcony?’ It is rather windy, but no storm so far and no rain to talk of. Before going to work I went out on the balcony anyway and put the plants down on the floor in one of the corners. Who knows, the taifou might strike this afternoon. If so, will there be videos of old men getting caught by the wind and blown down from piers? Reports of people falling of the roof they were trying to mend during the storm? Waves reclaiming land and the small houses that were build there, way too close to the sea line? Will this be broadcasted over and over again on the telly until some new disaster strikes? Well, probably not, this is not Japan.
